Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using this website. By visiting any page, running a search, or reading content here, you agree to everything listed below. If you do not accept these conditions, leave the site and do not use it further.

NO FCRA USE. This privately run website is not connected with Bridgeport, Connecticut, or any government body. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The site is a guide to Bridgeport and Connecticut criminal-record resources, not a private-investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site. We operate on our own with no ties to any government office. We do not store official criminal records and we cannot pull records, run official background checks, or file documents for anyone.

We identify the actual custodians of Bridgeport records: Bridgeport Police, Connecticut Superior Court, DESPP's State Police Bureau of Identification, DOC, and the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry. We also link to third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use this site or a linked resource to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Connecticut's registry laws, including Conn. Gen. Stat. §§ 54-250 through 54-261 and restricted-dissemination provisions in § 54-255, govern Connecticut Sex Offender Registry information. The registry supports lawful public-safety awareness; it does not authorize vigilantism, harassment, or discriminatory treatment.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check for an FCRA-regulated purpose must be obtained through Connecticut DESPP's State Police Bureau of Identification or an FCRA-compliant consumer reporting agency.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here is legal advice. General information about Bridgeport and Connecticut records cannot establish how a charge, conviction, warrant, erasure, Clean Slate provision, or pardon applies to a particular situation. Consult a Connecticut-licensed attorney for legal advice.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Records change as charges are filed or dismissed and as Connecticut courts and agencies apply sealing, erasure, Clean Slate, or pardons. Gaps therefore cannot be eliminated. Content here is not an official statement from Bridgeport Police, a court, DESPP, DOC, or another agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Our pages link to Bridgeport Police, court portals, Connecticut agencies, legal-aid organizations, and independent search services. Those destinations are outside our control. We are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, charges, content, or data practices; review their terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to Bridgeport Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, alter, or create derivative works from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using this site - including decisions made based on information found here or through any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Connecticut law governs these terms, including applicable provisions of the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, Conn. Gen. Stat. §§ 1-200 through 1-242, for official public records and Conn. Gen. Stat. § 29-11 for criminal-history repository information. Any dispute arising from use of this site must be brought in a court located in Connecticut.

12. Changes to These Terms

We can update these terms whenever we see fit. New terms go into effect the moment they appear on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We can limit or block your access to this site at any time, for any reason, with no warning.

14. Severability

If a court rules that any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stand. The problem section gets adjusted only as much as needed to make it work.
